NEW: Birth Photography

“BIRTH PHOTOS are a necessity. If you are expecting please get birth photos. They are magic, priceless and they will make your soul smile like never before. If you can’t afford multiple shoots I would opt out of Maternity and book Birth photos instead.”

A very honest review from my dear friend April (pictured above)

On call from 38 weeks, minimum 2-hours of photography coverage, no time limit (because we all know that babies are on their own schedule), and a beautiful photo gallery that can be as graphic or as modest as you prefer.

FAQ

There are some things better left unseen / I want to see everything!

Your Birth Gallery can be as graphic or as modest as you prefer. It is normal to want some discretion and normal to want to see everything. It’s all up to you and we will talk about this at your Pre-Consultation.

When do you arrive?

I will be on-call for you starting at 38 weeks. It is up to you/your partner to communicate any updates with me. Once you are in active labour, it is time to phone me (whether it’s 2 in the afternoon or morning). I will arrive once you are at 6cm or you are having consistent patterned contractions.

How long do you stay?

There is no time limit, but I guarantee no less than two hours of coverage. If your birth goes incredibly fast, we will do more lifestyle portraits afterward and spend more time on your complimentary Fresh 48 session (included with each Birth Story).

What is the Birth Photography Session Fee?

The session fee for Birth Photography is 500 and is required to officially book with me. You can also include Birth Photography as an add on to the Entire Your Baby’s First Year Package for 1500.

What does the Session Fee include?

This session fees listed above include unlimited pre-consultations, your photography time (no less than two hours and no time limit), a Fresh 48 session, and your Viewing + Ordering Appointment.

*Printed and digital images are sold separately from the session fees listed above. Read more about what is included here.

Will you be involved in any other way other than Photography?

No. I am a certified Canadian Birth Photographer but not a Doula. I photograph in a very documentary way, which is perfect for Births. I will be a ‘fly on the wall’ and as unobtrusive as possible… until that baby is out and you let me steal them for snuggles.

What about C-Sections?

If your C-Section is scheduled, there is a chance you can have it photographed. This must be communicated with your Doctor as far in advance as possible and is up to their discretion.

If you have to have an emergency C-Section, it is unlikely I can enter the Operating Room with you. But you can always ask your Doctor about that too prior to your birth.
