Spring Elopement at Emerald Lake — Yoho National Park

A Springtime Emerald Lake Elopement

Yoho National Park — British Columbia, Canada

On my way to this Emerald Lake elopement, it was absolutely pouring with rain. As in, one of those mountain, crack the sky open, full windshield wiper storms. Then, by some miracle, as I walked over to the viewpoint, a few rays of sunshine broke through the clouds. Right in time for their ceremony. My couple was grateful, they often found luck in life. I’m sure they would have had the best day, no matter the weather.

They got ready together, walked over to the ceremony together, spoke heartfelt vows and then danced to seal the deal. They kept their elopement simple, their relationship the star of the show.

When I asked what was most important to them, they didn’t want anyone to have to worry about taking photos. They wanted everyone to be present to enjoy the ceremony, time in nature. Everything about their Emerald Lake elopement was kept simple and sweet, even the wedding photos.

These are two happy souls, in love with each other and their friends. I photographed everything just as it happened, letting them enjoy themselves. They didn’t need me to tell them how to have a good time!

Cheers to finding love in all phases of life, dancing after a rainstorm, and keeping your wedding day simple. And wearing an amazing suits.

The elopement Vendors and Vibe

“Hi Jena, looking for someone to come for a couple of hours to capture our Emerald Lake elopement. We’re getting ready together in the room, walking across the bridge, our four friends will be there. Champagne after the ceremony at the viewpoint and a fun song… and that’s it.”
